Important tips for preparing for your hammam treatment
To get the most out of your treatment and respect the peaceful and welcoming atmosphere of the hammam, here are a few essential recommendations:
For women
Do not wax or shave in the three days prior to your scrub. The scrub lifts hairs by straightening them, which greatly reduces the risk of ingrown hairs. It is therefore in your best interest to wax after the scrub for optimal and long-lasting results. Do not apply cream to your body for 24 hours before the scrub.
For couples
Women may be topless with their partner in the private area. However, being a couple does not give you the right to be completely naked in the hammam. The hammam is above all a space dedicated to wellbeing, relaxation and mutual respect.
Clothing and comfort during your hammam treatment.
To ensure maximum comfort, safety and respect during treatments, here are a few simple rules regarding clothing.
For women
Wearing a two-piece swimsuit is recommended. Avoid tight knee-length cycling shorts and sports bras. If you do not have a two-piece swimsuit, a bra and knickers will do just fine. Nudity is also permitted for those who wish to be naked.
Jewellery
For reasons of comfort and to avoid injury, you will be asked not to wear any jewellery.
